School Principal – Mr. Jeff Castleberry (“Mr. C”)

Mr. Castleberry graduated from the University of Alabama and has a Masters Degree in Education from Troy State University. In addition, he has earned his Educational Leadership Certification from the University of West Florida.

The 2008–2009 school year will be his 19th year in public education and his 6th year as principal of Pensacola Beach Elementary School. He previously taught one year at Banks Jr. High School in Banks, Alabama, two years at Addie R. Lewis Middle School in Valparaiso, FL, six years at Gulf Breeze High School in Gulf Breeze, FL, and served three years as the Dean of Students at Sims Middle School in Pace, FL.

Since his employment in June 2002, Mr. Castleberry has worked closely with the teachers, parents, and community to improve the school. New math, reading, science textbooks, computers and computer software have been purchased. The school day was extended (2006–2007) to allow for a computer lab schedule for all students. Mr. Castleberry believes that the teachers and staff are the backbone of the school and he constantly collaborates with them to make short and long range plans that best benefit the students of Pensacola Beach Elementary School.

Office Manager – Ms. Jennifer Magee

Ms. Magee is originally from San Jose, California.  An Air Force veteran, Ms. Magee was stationed at Eglin AFB during the 1980’s and always knew she wanted to return to the Gulf Coast.  After 20 years as a military spouse and living everywhere from Hawaii to North Carolina, her dream of living and working on the beach became a reality.
