First Grade
First Grade – Mrs. Kimberly Talbert
I am so excited to be back at PBES full time this year! I love the beach school and can’t wait to get started in first grade!
My career in elementary education spans several decades, including time off to raise my children and enjoy my family. Over the years, I have taught many different grade levels in several different states including Texas, Georgia, Florida, and also with DODDS in Italy. As you probably guessed, we are a military family that has finally settled down in Pensacola.
Outside of the classroom, I enjoy traveling and spending time with my family. Since our crew includes my husband, two children and two giant breed dogs, camping has become a popular hobby for us as well.
My ideal classroom provides a positive learning environment allowing my students to feel both comfortable and confident in their learning adventures. I believe students need to feel safe with the idea of trying, regardless of success or failure, in order to do their very best academically.
