Fourth Grade
4th Grade – Mrs. Olson
I am incredibly blessed to be a part of PBES teaching fourth grade. My roots are in the upper Midwest (IL and MN), and it is there that I received my college degrees; a BS in Music Education from the University of Illinois (go Illini!) and a BS in Elementary Education from Minnesota State University. I began my teaching career in 2000, and have taught not only in the elementary classroom, but also gifted classes and middle school grades.
In 2010 my family transplanted to Florida. My husband Jason teaches science at Gulf Breeze High School, and our two children were fortunate enough to attend PBES through fifth grade. Although I now enjoy the benefits of wearing flip-flops year-round AND visiting a beautiful beach on a whim, I must admit that I still find myself missing a good snowstorm during the winter months!
Academically, I look forward to helping my students become more skillful, confident individuals.
Promise me you’ll always remember: You’re braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think. ~A.A. Milne
